We collect information you provide directly and information generated when you use the Service.

• Account information: email address and password when you are invited and set up your account.
• Resume content: files you upload (PDF) and parsed resume data such as skills, experience, education, and certifications.
• Job information: job posting URLs you submit, manually pasted job descriptions, and related metadata.
• Analysis results: fit scores, gap analyses, tailored resumes, and session history associated with your account.
• Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected through standard server logs.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including parsing resumes, analyzing job fit, and generating tailored resumes.
• Authenticate you and maintain your account, saved resumes, and analysis sessions.
• Communicate with you about your account or the Service.
• Monitor for abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the security of the Service.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

HireForge uses artificial intelligence to parse resumes, score job fit, perform gap analysis, and generate tailored resume content. To provide these features, resume and job content may be sent to third-party AI providers such as xAI (Grok). When configured for local development, processing may occur through a self-hosted Ollama instance instead.

We use Supabase for authentication and to store account-linked data such as analysis sessions and saved resumes. We may use additional service providers to fetch job posting content from public career pages.

These providers process data on our behalf according to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.

We retain your account information, saved resumes, and analysis sessions for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete saved resumes and analysis sessions from your dashboard. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update account details through your account settings and delete content stored in the Service from your dashboard.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and row-level access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to those locations, subject to applicable safeguards.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
